  19. Per review of the new .inf file, it includes the messages "CONNECT
  20. 31200..." and "CONNECT 33600" (based on appropriate reporting from the
  21. hardware) whereas the previous .inf did not. So with the new .inf,
  22. Win95 supports the reporting if the connect speed happens. In fact,
  23. due to the problematic .inf file posted on the USR WWW site, some
  24. people just cut and pasted those portions of the new .inf in the old
  25. inf. (and re-recognized their modems).

  30. I always select my own modem; I haven't used auto-detection. If you
  31. have a USR 28.8 internal modem, you'll want to select the "Sportster
  32. 28800 V.34, internal", I think.
